Darlington Dodo is a Zimbabwean football coach. He has coached CAPS United Football Club and Eswatini side Manzini Sundowns.
Career
Darlington Dodo served as head coach at Eswatini side Manzini Sundowns and only relinquished his post at the start of 2019.
Dodo was appointed CAPS United head coach in 2019, replacing Lloyd Chitembwe. He was part of Chitembwe's technical team.
On 2 November 2021, Dodo was fired by CAPS United Football Club after the club failed to progress to the quarter-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup. CAPS United finished third and twelve points behind Dynamos Football Club who won Group 1.[1][2]
ZPC Kariba
When Rodwell Dhlakama was appointed ZPC Kariba head coach in May 2022, he came with Dodo as his assistant.[3]
Dhlakama took over from Godfrey Tamirepi who had been fired for poor results.
Dhlakama then left for Black Leopards of South Africa in October and Dodo took charge of the last five games of the season. He won three, drew one, and lost once.
Dodo was eventually appointed the club's head coach and was at the helm until May 2023.
Green Fuel
In May 2023, Dodo left ZPC Kariba to join Green Fuel Football Club to become an assistant coach to Rodwell Dhlakama.
Achievements
Dodo won the Premier Soccer League title with Gunners Football Club in 2009.
