Dj Naida is a Zimbabwean born radio presenter, mix disc jockey, club and events disc jockey, producer, songwriter and singer. She rose to fame in the music arena when she produced some hot songs which became popular in both South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Dj Naida's real name is Coleen Danai Goredema and she grew up in Zimbabwe.[1]
Origins of the name Dj Naida
The name Naida is an anagram for her second name Danai. She simply changed it Naida in order to make it more rhythmic and this resulted in her being called Dj Naida as opposed to Dj Danai.[1]
Education
Dj Naida attended Westridge High School in Harare where she did her Ordinary level between 2001 and 2004.[2] She then proceeded to Lomagundi College where she did her Advanced level from 2005 to 2006. She then went on to attend Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa where she studied for a Bachelor's Degree, Financial Planning and Services.[2]
Career in Finance Services
In 2008, she worked for Standard Bank Group as a financial planner. She went on again to work as a financial planner for the Royal Bank Zimbabwe Limited between 2012 and 2013.[2]
Music and Djing Career
Dj Naida got the much-needed broadcasting/music exposure at Power FM Zimbabwe where she worked before embarking on a full-time music career.[2] In 2013, DJ Naida decided to work on a female version of No Sleep in a bid to showcase female hip hop artists from different countries in Africa and unify them through music. It was a project that was well received globally.[2] DJ Naida has performed extensively in South Africa and Zimbabwe, gracing the biggest shows in Zimbabwe and opening for the likes of Beenie Man, Liquideep, Uhuru and many more.In 2014, Naida was signed by Mix Masterz Studios a renowned music company in South Africa.
