Alyce Chavunduka was one of the most celebrated radio personalities to have emerged from Zimbabwe who enjoyed a successful career in South Africa.

She was born in Harare in 1968.[1]
Career
Chavunduka started her career when she was 12 working for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation as a presenter for a kid's show.[2] After six years working for the broadcast corporation, she was elevated to the news desk. She worked for Radio 702 as of 1992 but left the company after a short stint. Later that year she was to make history when she became the first black female news anchor on SABC's TV1 channel.[2] Alice also worked as an M-Net presenter on studio 53, presenter for Summit TV on Multichoice's DStv and hosted the Alice Chavhunduka Show on 94.7 Highveld Stereo.
Death
She is said to have been among the most talented TV and radio personalities ever before succumbing to seizures after having survived two road accidents. Her father, Gordon, had died a year earlier in the January 2013.
