Akiliz is a 2017 hit song by popular Zimbabwean artist, Ammara Brown. The song is on the album Ammartia.
Akiliz was produced by Dj Tamuka & Take Fizzo. The song topped the charts on ZiFM Stereo's Zi World top 40 Chart Show in 2017. It also topped the Diamond FM Zim Daily Top 20 Chart show in the same year.
In February 2018, popular comedians, Bhutisi, Gonyeti, Boss Kedha and Maggie from the media company Bustop TV made a parody video of the song.
Akiliz Video
The Akiliz video was released in December 2017. The video was generally well received, getting more than half a million views on YouTube within a month. Some quarters criticised the video for supposedly some suggestively explicit content. The video was directed by Blaqs and choreography in the video was by John Cole.
Meaning
Ammara Brown has said that Akiliz "...is your weakness, your Achilles heel. The person who takes your kindness for weakness" [1]
