Chamisa Claims Infiltration And Destabilisation Plot

Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) Change Champion in Chief Nelson Chamisa claims there is a push by ZANU PF to infiltrate the opposition party using operatives who were being trained for that sole purpose.

CCC was formed in January this year by the majority of former MDC members but is yet to come up with structures or convene an elective congress. Said Chamisa:

This time we will do things differently. Citizens at the centre.

They are spending millions of taxpayers’ money to infiltrate the citizens’ movement by recruiting and training operatives meant to destabilise. We are ahead of them.

Chamisa said only bona fide members will know where the party is headed without risking infiltration.

There have been previous attempts by the State to control the opposition, including the use of the military to take over the party’s headquarters, Morgan Tsvangirai House (formerly Harvest House).

CCC was also blocked from holding campaign rallies several times by State agents in the run-up to the 26 March by-elections.
