Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 19 April 2022
Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 19 April 2022:
• 39 New Cases (All local) and 2 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 35 from 41(yesterday).
• Vaccination Update: 5 346 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 799 542, 853 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 616 013 while 855 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3 rd dose to 567 948.
Feedback• As of 18 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (21) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (5), Asymptomatic (2), mild to moderate (17), severe (2) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 11 of the 21 hospitalized were vaccinated and 10 were not vaccinated.
• 2 552 tests done today (Positivity today was 2.1%)
• 48 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 97% & Active cases fall to 710
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 247 336 Cases 241 160 recoveries & 5 466 Deaths.
