<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Energy and Power Development minister <strong><a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Soda_Zhemu">Zhemu Soda</a></strong> has urged motorists to make use of <strong><a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_United_Passenger_Company">ZUPCO</a></strong> buses following public outrage after the <strong><a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_Energy_Regulatory_Authority">Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA)</a> </strong>Wednesday <strong><a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2022/03/09/zera-raises-fuel-prices-for-march-2022-again/">hiked fuel prices for a second time in one week. </a></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">ZERA hiked diesel prices to US$1.68 or ZWL218.01 per litre up from ZWL$195.99 and US$1.51 per litre.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">The regulator attributed the development to increasing oil prices on the international market due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Watch the video below for Soda’s remarks:</span></p>
