Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Update 09 January 2022
Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 09 January 2022:
• 373 New Cases (All local) and 12 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 1 059 from 1 101 (yesterday)
• Vaccination Update: 2 986 received the dose today banging cumulative for 1st dose to 4 167 808; 4 698 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 186 514 while 1 482 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3 rd dose to 13 352.
As of 08 January 2022, @1500 hrs there were 164 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (18), Asymptomatic 5, mild to moderate 136, severe 21 and 2 in Intensive Care Units.
• 4 242 tests done today Positivity today was 9.0 %)
• 1757 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 87% & Active cases go down 22 825
• As Of today. Zimbabwe has recorded 222 291 Cases 194 306 recoveries & 5 160 Deaths.
