PRODUCER PRICE INDEX (FEBRUARY 2019=100) JUNE 2021
The month on month rate of change in June 2021 was 0.15 per cent gaining 0.15 percentage points on the May 2021 rate of 0.00 per cent.
This means that prices, as measured by the all items #PPI, increased at an average rate of 0.15 per cent from May 2021 to June 2021.
- The month on month rate of change is given by the percentage change in the index of the relevant month of the current year compared with the index of the previous month in the current year.
The group of products that have contributed most to the rise in the index in June 2021 were the manufacture of other food products, manufacture of wearing apparel, mining and quarrying, quarrying of stones, sand and clay and manufacture of vegetables and animal oils and fats.
The rest of the other groups of products did not contribute to the increase or decrease of the index.
The year on year Producer Price Index #PPI rate of change stood at 73.50 per cent in June 2021.
- The year-on-year inflation rate is given by the percentage change in the index of the relevant month of the current year compared with the index of the same month in the previous year.
This means that prices as measured by the all items Producer Price Index #PPI increased at an average rate of 73.50 per cent.
The PPI for the month ending June 2021 stood at 4 617.21 compared to 4 610.45 in May 2021 and 2 661.18 in June 2020.
