"Something Afoot" -Mliswa On Kembo Mohadi's Absence

Norton legislator Temba Mliswa has posted on Twitter asking about the possible meaning of Vice President Kembo Mohadi’s absence from the public for some time now.

VP Mohadi’s absence comes when his private phone calls have been leaked exposing his alleged affairs with married aides. Temba Mliswa tweeted this Tuesday saying:

VP Kembo Mohadi has been very conspicuous by his absence of late….. Heroes Acre; no show, Cabinet; no show….. is something afoot?

Some observers said the 71-year-old is unable to be in the public because of the alleged scandals which are not expected of a public figure let alone a Vice President.

While Information Secretary, Nick Mangwana has said Mohadi has no case to answer since the women involved are adults who consented to sleep with their boss, calls for Mohadi to resign have increased in the recent past.

Lawmakers (former and current) and women groups are some of the stakeholders that have been amplifying the calls for the investigation of the allegations and Mohadi’s resignation.
