PICTURES: Burial of MDC Alliance Councillor Lavender Chiwaya

The late MDC Alliance (MDC-A) councillor, Lavenda Chiwaya, who died in Karoi between the 20th and 21st of August 2020 will be buried this Thursday.

The MDC-A said Chiwaya had been stalked by suspected State agents for some days before the fateful night and believe that he was strangled to death and his body dumped a few houses from his home.

However, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) disputed the MDC-A version, saying Chiwaya could have died as a resulting of consuming an illicit drug, “kranco”.
