Temporary Closure Of NSSA House, OK Norton, Over COVID-19
A number of companies have in the recent past closed their premises over the coronavirus pandemic. Some of them are Econet Wireless, the Environmental Management Agency (EMA), OK Norton and the National Social Security Authority (NSSA).
We present below NSSA’s statement of the temporary closure of NSSA House.
NSSA management wishes to advise stakeholders of the temporary closure of NSSA House in Harare with effect from Monday 27 July 2020 to allow for deep cleaning and decontamination following the incidence of a positive COVID-19 test for one of our employees. This decision was taken in compliance with Section 6 at Statutory instrument 174 of 2020. Public Health (COV10-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) (Notional Lockdown) (Amendment) Order. 2020 (No. 14). The affected employee was lost at NSSA House on the 10th of July 2020 due to the implementation of a decongestion programme that has seen the Authority operating at one-third of its staff complement. Management has however resolved to implement the necessary precautionary measures.
FeedbackThe Authority is also conducting contact tracing to facilitate testing for individuals who may have been in contact with the affected employee. All other NSSA offices are safe and Shut continue to operate under the Ministry Of Health and Child Care COVID-I9 guidelines. We sincerely apologise for any inconveniences caused by the temporary Closure.
