23 Dead In Jarkata Floods, Thousands Displaced

23 people have been confirmed dead and tens of thousands displaced in Jarkata Indonesia after severe floods hit the Indonesian Capital, Aljazeera reports.
Jarkata which is home to 30 million people received torrential rains (over 370 millilitres), the water level rose to almost 3 meters in some part of the city. The Government has dispatched over 120000 rescuers to help 19000 people temporarily displaced by the floods.
Among the dead is a 16-year-old boy who was electrocuted. According to Aljazeera:
The floods inundated thousands of homes and buildings in poor and wealthy districts alike, forcing authorities to cut off electricity and water supplies and paralysing transport networks.
