ED Meets Cyril Ramaphosa In Niamey, Niger
President Emmerson Mnangagwa met his South African counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa at the Heads of State and Government for the 12th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTFA) on Sunday in Niger.
President Mnangagwa said last Friday that he will be meeting Ramaphosa to explore possibilities of South Africa exporting more electricity to Zimbabwe as the country experience crippling power cuts.
Writing on social media after the meeting, President Mnangagwa said:
Always good to catch up with my friend and comrade, President @CyrilRamaphosa. Our two nations are part of the same family and I look forward to further strengthening the close ties between South Africa and Zimbabwe for the benefit of both peoples.
