32.8% O' Level Pass Rate The Highest In Over A Decade

The 32.83% pass rate registered in the 2018 Zimsec O’ Level results announced yesterday are the best in over a decade. Zimsec considers it a pass if a candidate attains a grade “C” or better in 5 or more subjects.
The pass rates for the previous years are as follows:
- November 2018: 32.83%
- November 2017: 26.35%
- November 2016: 27.92%
- November 2015: 27.86%
- November 2014: 22.38%
- November 2013: 20.72%
- November 2012: 18.40%
- November 2011: 19.50%
- November 2010: 16.50%
- November 2009: 16.33%
- November 2008: 14.44%
- November 2008: 14.32%
- November 2007: 20.16%
Zimsec announced yesterday:
162 541 sat for 5 or more subjects and of these50664 obtained Grade C or better in five or more subjects, yielding a 32.83% which was higher than the 28.7% of 2017 where 162 915 sat for 5 or more subjects.
