Not Releasing Motlanthe Commission Report Is Confirmation Of Guilt And Breach Of Promise By Mnangagwa- David Coltart
Human rights lawyer and opposition politician David Coltart has said that if President Emmmerson Mnangagwa does not release the Motlanthe Commission report it will be a confirmation he is guilty.
The Commission was established by Mnangagwa on September 19 to look into the circumstances that led to the shooting and killing of civilians in Harare CBD on August 1. President Mnangagwa’s spokesperson, George Charamba said the report is meant for Mnangagwa, and he has the discretion to make it public or not. However, writing on microblogging website Twitter, Coltart said not releasing the report is not only a breach promise but confirmation of guilt. Said Coltart:
“Motlanthe Commission report for Mnangagwa’s eyes only” writes the herald today. Aside from the breach of promise that this would be made public it is the surest confirmation of guilt if it isn’t published.
